I bought 3 boxes of the 100 count value pack at Walmart yesterday and just for the hell of it I counted the bullets and 1 box had 98 bullets and the 2 other boxes had 99 bullets. What the hell.. not that it's a big deal, but I thought that was weird.

That blows. If they're going to pack them by weight or some other estimator of quantity they should label it "Approximately 100 cartridges".

I bought all 5 boxes they had yesterday, one was torn but seemed packed to the brim. Maybe I should check.

I heard you can't return ammo to wally world, and I was going to try, but the return line is always ridiculously long.

I've seen anywhere between 102 and 97 in those packs. not terribly uncommon. I usually stick to the 50 packs of Federal. They look better and are almost always all there.

I returned some .45 ammo to Walmart last year that was recalled by the manufacture. I took in the recall announcement from the manufacture that I printed off of their website & my sales receipt. I included info on the ammo's potential to blow up in your gun. I don't even remember who made the ammo but certain lot numbers were bad. It was announced here on calguns & all the other gun sites. Anyway, the returns clerk went to his manager who went to the store manager who then made a couple of calls & approved the return. I was in the store a couple of weeks later & the ammo sales clerk told me that the manager got into trouble for approving the return. Apparently I was the only customer who the store had ever given a return on ammo to. That under NO circumstances was ANY ammo to be returned for ANY reason. So if there not supposed to take a return on ammo that could blow up in your gun there's no way they'll do it for a torn box!

My experience too, when I was buying the WWB. I don't think I ever got a box with exactly 100 rounds. Most common was probably 101.

Maybe there should be a lottery with WWB...I got 99 twice. I remember when I first bought then I thought they were separated into little dividers...nope.

on products larger than 9mm, it has dividers. with .40s&w, you even get styrofoam trays.
