recipe request for .223 68grain BTHP

I can't get any consistant load data for a 68 gr. Using accurate 2230, any suggestions?

As the title says, its a 68 grain, BTHP

The Accurate load book lists for 69 gr HPBT to use the following -

Start at 20.7gr for 2666fps, work up to 23.1 for 2895fps, 54430PSI, 2.245 COAL

Generally, you can use load values for heavier bullets with bullets that are slightly lighter and work up from there.

I'd make up some 21.0, 21.5, 22, 22.5, 23 and 23.1/23.2 loads and look for signs of overpressure.

Those values are for .223 chamber. For 5.56MMx45 NATO the max load is 24.8 @ 3071fps.

As the title says, its a 68 grain, BTHP, I'm not stuck on the idea of using 2230, but if there is data out there, I would be happy not having to buy another pound.

22.8 grains of 2230 for the 69grain seems to be the sweet spot for my savage/stevens model 200.
23.1 of 2230 seems to be sthe sweet spot with both the 69grain hpbtand the 65 grain gamekings in my 16"bbl AR 1-9twist..

Frt96- what's your oal for the 16" barrel? I'm running the same setup.
