    AR Comp powder

I'm looking at ordering some powder for 223. My reloading manual says reloader 7 got the best accuracy with cci small rifle. I'm also looking at Alliant ar comp powder, but the load data calls for using small rifle bench rest primers that cost a lot more.

Would I be better of sticking to R7 powder and more inexpensive primers, or going with the AR Comp powder?

I'm going to be loading for my AR

I loaded up some AR-COMP with regular CCI primers and it was fine. But powder and primers are easily the least expensive part of reloaded ammo.

Thanks Allied. I'm just getting started in reloading and trying to stick with the manual. I don't want to have any accidents.

Just about any small rifle primer will work for 223.

That's good to know. I didn't want to spend an extra $12 per 1k if I didn't need to
