If you are ready to spend some real dinero on a trimmer then forget the rest and get the best. Only two choices here in my mind, Giraud or Gracey. Both trim the correct way (index off case shoulder, not case base) and both also debur and chamfer at the same time as they trim.

Trimming on a progressive press is a loser with a capital L IMHO. Trimming should be a separate operation for best result. Size and de-prime on a single stage, then trim and tumble clean. Then run the cases through your progressive press with the size die backed out enuff so it only cleans up case mouth dents with the expander ball and pushes the de-priming pin through the flash hole to pop out any tumbling media stuck there.

Giraud and Gracey are top notch but if you want to go a less expensive route would be the RCBS power trimmer with a 3-way cutter head.

The WFT is about $70.00 in one caliber.

If you are eventually going to trim for multiple calibers, buy a Giraud.

I use a Possum Hollow trimmer. It is low cost and works similar to the Giraud in that it indexes off the shoulder. I place it in a drill adapter and can trim a large bunch quickly. My .223 operation is the same as GeoffLinder-size, de-prime, and trim separately. Then use a progressive loader.
