    Request for info (30-06 powder)

I just recieved my dies for 30-06, I have read all the manuels, and have some ideas on where to start. I just wanted to see if any of you have any recomendations on powder. Im not looking for a powder to use in a number of different calibers just 30-06. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bolt gun or semi-auto? H4350 is good bolt gun powder for long action cartridges. For semi-auto, 4895 is the go to (specifically the M1 Garand).

Win 760 and 4350 are good. If you want to use less powder and focus on lighter (150gr and under) bullets, going with a faster powder like 748, H335 or 4895 would work well.

        I use IMR 4895 because I have both a M70 and a Garand in /06.

I've always used Accurate 2460, clean burning at a decent price!! Ball type that meters very well and consistent!

              4895 is the go-to powder.

For 150 grain bullets I use H335 165 grain Reloader 19 180 grain IMR 4007 SSC its hard to find. I only have a pound of it but it is very nice.

Thanks, I was looking at either the h4895, h4350 or the 760. So I guess I was looking in the right place. Ill try them out and see which one shoots best for my gun. Im going to be shooting barnes tsx 168gr and 180gr as this will be for hunting pig and other medium to large game in very brushy areas.
