Dillon Die setup

Have the .308 Dillon dies and I followed the setup directions for the full length sizer and decapper. I ran my test case through and the neck just above the shoulder had a bulge in it.!? So after much fiddling and trials, I was able to get the bulge out. My concern is that for this to happen I have the die turned in so far that the shell holder nearly contacts the die. The die is backed out maybe a 1/16 turn verse the directed half turn, is this a problem or do I have the GTG? (Good to go.)

I always screw my sizing die till it touches the shell holder/shellplate.

I just screw my die in till the sized case drops in correctly into my headspace gauge.

I just started to process some brass through my Dillon Dies and they are coming out of the sizer scratched. I cleaned the die before starting and the brass is also clean and lubed. There is residue of brass on the inside of the die as well. What should I do? Please help.

It's always interesting to see the same questions cycle through as someone starts reloading. Google can answer most questions. How long did you tumble your brass for?

Lube the cases properly.
Clean the dies completely.
Size case body with a Lee FCD in .45ACP?

Tumbled in crushed walnut for 4 hours, using one shot case lube spray.

Have you called Dillon? It's their dies and they provide free support?

No I have not contacted Dillon yet, this happened at 20:30 so it was kinda late to call.
