I am going to start slow and buy the basic hand tools and a Lyman trimmer with power adaptor. I am going to pick up a case gauge and my brother is handing down some Hornady dies so I scored there.

I figure I have a few weeks worth of processing but I just bought a case of Lake City M193 so I have plenty of live rounds to keep me shooting.

Now off to Natchez to place an order. I am sure I will eventually pick up a power case prep station but for now it will be a box of brass in my lap while I watch TV.

As always this is a great place to get info,

I'd go with the hornady trimmer over the lymann if your already using hornady case holders. Having seen them both the hornady cam lock is better design IMO, and you get 100 free bullets (double check that promotion is still running).

The Hornady also has a power adapter, or you can make your own and attach to a drill.

A PH trimmer would be alot faster and less work if you have power tools and want it done fast, but the Camlock is more percise and can be used for multiple calibers.

You will want to mount either of these trimmers to something and I would not trim on the couch as it is a messy process.

You can get the dillon primer pocket swager, but if you just sort by headstamp or dont buy crimped brass its not an issue.
Looks like I am going to need more spare batteries for my drill.

        Justintoxicated,

Thanks for the info. I checked and it looks like Hornady is just running the 'get loaded' special for presses and dies.

I have the LNL so no case holders. I plan on doing the trimming at the reloading bench and the chamfer, debur, ream on the couch or desk or handing it off to my shooting buddy in exchange for ammo!

Already hit the order button so by early next week I will see my box from Natchez arrive and start to work with the cases. Will post an update once I have worked with all the prep tools.

Ahh there was my confusion, I have the Hornady LnL Single stage press, and the Hornady LnL AP press. They are both LnL presses so when people don't say they have the AP press I assume they are referring to the single stage

In that case yea, you probably don't want to have to buy shell holders for each new caliber you want to trim.
