    Swager die

Is there a preferred die that works best with 7.62x51 mil brass? Thanks for the input.

Once you've had the volume turned all the way up, that low-level noise just doesn't matter anymore.

I have the RCBS press mounted swage setup.

It works fine but I think one of these days I will spring for the Dillon 600 Super Swage.

Here is a video of the RCBS die in action, faster than I can make mine work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyUxXYwqtlM

Here is a youtube video of a homemade mod to the 600 Super Swage with a rubber band and length of string to make the unit even quicker to use: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaZHeSUqQbk

I have cutters/the RCBS unit and the Dillon 600. The Dillon is the best by far.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Yeah I used the cutters then went to the RCBS and then went to the Dillon 600 and must say the Dillon is my favorite.

I have been looking around and the Dillon does look very robust and easy to use.
Just need to find one used.

Dillon is best but as usual it's way more expensive than the RCBS. The RCBS will get the job done fine if your using a single stage press, they won't work on a progressive due to the special shell holder. It's just not as fast and sometimes I have to slam the arm up with the RCBS to free the case. I usually take my chamfer tool and do a rotation to mark the brass as swagged and cleanup the edge. With the dillon it's less necessary.

I wouldn't want to get rid of any quality item I have either. I'll probably get the Dillon any way as most of my brass ends up being Mil Surp.

I have been looking into getting the Dillon super swage because it looks by far to be the best tool. I have heard that you have to sort the brass with the Dillon super swage and make adjustments when you switch to another head stamp because not all brass is alike. Wanted to get opinions on them from people that own the super swage.

Look what RCBS just came out with!!!

RCBS rolled out some handy new products at SHOT Show 2012. The first item will be welcomed by AR and Service Rifle shooters who reload inexpensive military .223 Rem (5.56x45) and .308 Win (7.62x51) brass. RCBS now has a Primer Pocket Swager Bench Tool that removes military primer pocket crimps quickly and easily.

$106.00 retail. Should be shipping in a couple of weeks.

I wonder if the handle design is any better than the Dillon?

Also on a side note, is there a Heavy Duty pin for decapping military brass with crimps?

I think Dillon's design is much better. I would rather pull down on a handle all day long than push one side to side.

Plus you can automate the Dillon.
