req: ammo ID

got some surplus 7.62x51 in trade.
450rds of "H1 7.62" in 20rd cardboard box, 200rd sealed clear plastic packs. Green primer sealant, non-magnetic.
Came in a plastic tub. Previous owner said he purchased these from JG Sales during the 90's.

I couldn't find any info from the usual online info,

That sounds like the mystery ammo that J&G was selling in the late 1990's. I think J&G sold it as "New Zealand" but others have speculated that it is from Singapore and the headstamp (H1) is a date code (81).

Everybody said it was good ammo.
