    45 acp brass

    Was wondering how many times 45 acp brass can be reloaded?

    i'm currently using brass an old guy had used till he died most of it is dated in the 60 and 70s military brass if i don't loose it i reload it

      A lot. It's a relatively low pressure round. I've heard guys getting 15+ reloadings out of them. Usually you lose them or the neck splits first.

        Until they split or I lose them. Have some that you can't read the headstamp anymore.

          As many times till it splits at the neck or primer pocket is loose.

          Rule of thumb is the hotter you load a brass the lesser the life.

                yup... a lot of reloads.. till the primers won't stay put or it splits

                  if you want max case life be gentle about belling the mouth and don't hot rod your loads. I tend to lose them before the neck splits. After 3-4 firings I'm not so careful about picking them up. More range pickup brass is only a mile away for me.

                    If you have a good quantity of brass to work with, I don't thing that's something you'll have to worry about. You'll probably loose them before the end of life ever happens.
