I am having problems with the priming system on my loadmaster. One primer will seat fine, then one will go in sideways or upside down or not at all. At this point I don't dare try more than 1 case at a time, because I have to inspect each one for the primer. Everything else seems to be running fine, I just cant seem to lick this primer issue. I'm using CCI large pistol primers to load my .45 and the cases are large primer cases not small so that's not it. I even thought it might be a bad primer system so bought another one and installed it and still have the same problems. I have heard that getting the Lee running right can take some work and that's fine but I don't know what to try at this point so ANY suggestions would be appreciated.

Lee Loadmaster problems

Only time I had a primer problem was due to one of the following:
- table wobbling around when pulling the lever
- powder clogging up the works
Make sure everything is solid and clean. Beyond that, out of my experience, good luck. With all this "gun control" talk, I've not heard one politician say how they plan on taking guns from criminals, just law abiding Citizens.

Did you crunch the primer components previously?
I have primed up to a thousand rounds without a single primer hiccup on that press. Then again, I have had it consistently seat primers in sideways for 10 rounds straight.
You need a small file. Cycle the black plastic primer lever, then cycle the metal primer seater. Make sure it pushes a primer straight up. More than likely, the primer is getting snagged on the way up, causing it to tilt before seating. This is always solved by filing the parts down a bit to get rid of snags.Comment
