I plan to use the X-die for an AR.
Currently, I use once-fired 556 brass, use a small base die for sizing, and trim to 1.750"
I use 69 SMK (25 gr of RE-15) or 77 SMK (24 gr of RE-15), and toss the brass after six loads.
I read the instructions on how to set-up the X-die, and the to trim the brass to a starting length of 1.730"
Well, what's the difference if I just trim the brass to 1.735", FL size the brass, and monitor the length to see how many loads I get before I get over 1.750"
I'm thinking I can get three FL sizing before the case length hits 1.750"
Does that make sense?
