1. Wear gloves too.
2. Warm those ingots before dropping them in as they can accumulate moisture, just like the spoon. Saw the way it was bubbling at the start of the vid. That is a major POP waiting to happen.
3. Wear gloves too.
4. Put the pot on a pan that can catch the drippings or in an emergency, catch all 20# in the event it pours full bore w/o stopping. I use a ingot mold to catch the drippings and a pan for the "just in case".
5. Wear gloves too.
6. Get some 6 cavity molds
7. Wear gloves too.
Not thread crapping, just offering some advice and no, i don't know it all. Only been doing it myself since middle(?) of last year. I'll never go back to buying bullets again.
AlVarious 1911s.
Some revolvers.
Some rifles.
Back to owning some of those "polymer" guns.

@Ns3
Thank you! I've played with homemade lubes for a while but have recently taken preference to liquid alox. Some will swear for one over the other, ultimately at the end of the day it's your choice. :-)
@ Inkman
Thank you :-) I appreciate positive feedback. In other forums I've been spurned, with harsh reception about such things. To which I replied kindly, with a tone that denoted I didn't quite appreciate being addressed so. I completely agree with you, gloves are a good idea. :-) I think that would be a good idea for me to heat the ingot first, I've a torch and some pliers. I've found that if you place it in the mold as I did in the video, it will heat a moment and melt into itself before submerging, but of course airing on the side of safe doesn't hurt (hah, get it?) :-p I've been meaning to get some 6 cavities- I hear its easier to botch with them..this so?Comment
