So I was thinking 2000, but then thought there must be a few flipped primers in there, so I figure 1979 in the bucket. When asked what qualities he most valued in his generals, Napoleon said, "give me lucky ones."Comment

Rounds are 230gr RN .45 in a 3 1/2 gallon bucket and there were 973.
Closest without going over.
Winner, winner, chicken dinner! PM me if you want the prize.
Correct line of thinking except I started with 1k of primers. As a note I did notice more flipped primers than usual. 2.7% lost primers (I did not try and reseat flipped primers). Usually I crush maybe 10 per 1k. I blame Win NT and S&B brass. For the flipped primers I dont know.Comment

Doh! I was only 12 over! I guessed 985 lol.Comment

Ah, I figured it was one of those 5gal buckets you get at OSH to use washing the car (and storing brass...). I guess I could have been more observant, I just noticed those ammo cans in the background, good for scale....Correct line of thinking except I started with 1k of primers. I have gotten to the point, I sort my head stamps now for both .45 and 9's. Ironically, lately I have gotten a fair amount of mil-surp 45, instead of SPP. I recently did a big buy of some once fired 45ACP brass. It came with a bunch of WCC43 headstamps, amazing to be reloading brass that at one time was being made to fight the Axis Powers.
Sorry for the highjack dudes.
Congrats to the big winner! When asked what qualities he most valued in his generals, Napoleon said, "give me lucky ones."Comment
