any risk/danger from the decapped primers?

So I've got this rather solid little jug of primers that I've decapped from prepping all my brass and I'm wondering if there's any risk in the unburned residue?

I don't want to risk and store a possible Kaboom situation, taken to an extreme example... what if I throw all 10ish pounds of it in the camp fire?

If you mean spent primers, no risk at all. They are pretty nasty stuff, so just dumping in the trash probably isn't ideal. If your range has a hazmat bin, I would dump them there.

I save all my decapped primers in a 1 Gal milk jug and when full, take it to my metal recycling center with my non-reloadable and worn out brass.

UNburnt residue in a SPENT primer? nope, no worries there. Only thing you need to worry about is lead. Bad idea to throw them in the campfire - wold be about as fun as throwing a handful of lead dust in there, and just as hazardous.

dont stir them up and make dust, and when your container is full, just take them to the metal recycling place. They will give you a few nickles for them and you can then go buy some reloading stuff.
