    What gives?

    I am getting pretty frustrated.

I want to reload on my last day off for a while but can not get supplies.

Reeds Indoor Shooting Range- out of what I want

Castellos in San Jose- out of hand gun bullets till feb

The gun exchange- only carries rifle bullets

Bay Area Gun Vault- doesn't carry bullets

Valkeryie arms- closed until 5pm (don't even know if they carry supplies)

Get Bullets and Brass in Gilroy- Can never get a hold of these people (call all the time and send emails, obviously they don't want my business).

Frontsite in Hollister- Out of the office until tomorrow (again don't even know if they have what I want)

    Irvington arms- Too far

Why is it so hard to get 115-gr FMJ RN 9mm or 180-gr FMJ FN 40 S&W or 230-gr FMJ RN bullets?!?

I am in the south bay anyone got any ideas? Any secret shops that carry bullets?

Its because people order them online for much cheaper so it's not worth stocking them.

Call Missouri Bullets. They have access to a wormhole and anything that ships today gets here yesterday...

Ya need to stock up when it's available. Having an extra few K of primers, a pound of powder & a box of bullets on hand costs little to store and the prices on them probably won't be cheaper next month or next year.

if you want cast bullets, a member on here name HKdad makes them, 9mm, .40 and 45. You can also buy them online, I buy mine from powdervalley, last order i got 1000 plated bullets and 2k primer and 2 lb powder. Or if you want FMJ, try precision delta, their prices includes shipping. Last I saw for 9mm it's like 70ish shipped for 1k. Good luck, stock when possible and shoot safe.
        The stuff that goes boom.

          Join the Boy Scouts.
You ought to have 500-1000 loaded bullets ready to shoot.
500-1000 projectiles and primers and a couple hundred cases ready to load.
1-4 pounds of powder (of course, more is better).
100# of lead ready to cast.

Now you are prepared to cast, load or shoot whenever you are in the mood

One hour of casting with the Lee 6-banger mold.

Good advice. I try to maintain a 1K inventory of loaded rounds, with enough components and powder in storage to make 2 to 3K more of loaded rounds any time I want to. You never get in a bind that way.

OP, Missouri Bullets has good pricing with non-rapist shipping.

ETA: Oh wait, you want FMJs... not sure they carry those.

If Irvington Arms is too far (they have a ton of Bear Creek - was there on Sat), maybe Tabors in San Bruno will work. They carry the largest selection of Bear Creek I've seen to date.

Smither & Imbert in San Carlos?? They used to carry powder and bullets. Not sure if they still do.

It is too late in the day to make an attempt at this point.

I would be facing rush hour traffic on the way back home.

                    So..... I just ordered Berry's Bullets from them directly. Decent pricing. $346 for 1000 of 9, 40 & 45.

That should keep me busy for a while.
