    reloading for 6.8 spc cheaper?

I want to get an upper in 6.8 spc, but the only reason i wont is because cost of ammo, so, since i already reload, i was thinking if i should try it for 6.8? in sum, is it cheaper? I know reloading is usually not cheaper ANYWAYS, but, with the price of this ammo, i figured it was.. ? i mean, i still need dies for it as well...

I reload for 6.8 and if I don't have to buy brass, it saves money.
    I figure
    20.00 / 100 for bullets. watch sales
    25.00 / 30.00 per 1000 primers
And around 8 to 12 cents a round for powder. Depends on what type and how much you buy.

So 4.00 for bullets, around 2.00 for powder and around .50 for primers = 6.50 per box.

For me if I watch sales, it's a wash if I have to buy brass when I figure my time. I've seen it for around 16.00 a box if I buy 200 rds.

Check Palmetto state Armory every so often, they have good deals on loaded ammo. Most think the small primer brass from Hornady or SSA is better than LP brass. It lasts longer.

If you don't know about it yet, Check out 68forums. They have tons of info and when guys find deals on Brass, primers, bullets, they are good about posting them.

Barnes had a killer sale sale on 85gr mpg bullets before Christmas

Cheapest I've bought 6.8mm SPC ammo is about $.75/round (Remington 115gr).

I can reload it for around $.30/round, a little less if I find some cheap .277 bullets.

          Yes. That's cheaper.
