What do you mean by automated? if you just mean motorized then you probably cant get much better than a giraud. This tends to be an expensive option

Possum hollow trimmer is pretty sweet and indexes from the shoulder so shellholders and guide rods arent necessary.

Worlds finest trimmer is pretty much the same thing

There are many all in 1 stations that trim, chamfer, deburr etc.. but most of your time will be spenttrimming so spend the money where the money is due.

My vote goes to worlds finest trimmer, hook that sucker up to a power drill and just plow through trimming.

You can get even more automated with a motorized dillon 1200 trimmer on one of the stations. This is about as automated as it gets, you will pretty much put no effort into seperatley trimming anything.

Rifle - Giraud. I don't think that trimmer does pistol. Or Dillon.
Pistol - some type of lathe style trimmer I guess. There's a lot on the market. I never bother trimming my pistol brass.

Rifle brass needs some case prep in addition to tumbling clean, straight wall pistol brass only needs tumbling.

              Case 'prep' or case 'trimming?'

I assume the WFT is used after full length sizing, in a FL die

^^^^ doesn't the LnL trim station already have a power trimmer?

Nah that thing mounts right on top of the resizing station and trims it automatically. Its pretty sweet but like $300 or so

so the LnLtrim station full length resizes *and* trims to length at the same time?

Nah, the one in the picture is a Dillon 1200 trimmer. It hooks up to your progressive press and trims automatically. The LNL trim station is a stand alone unit that has a bunch of motorized doohickeys that you use to process brass one at a time prior to loading

The Dillon trimmer does it while you are loading. Its like 20x better
