Has anyone else used this outfit? I just ordered 1000 Lake City prep'd brass with primers seated and 1000 bullets and it came to $227 delivered.

I figure that I will run them through the Lock-n-Load with some 748 or BLc-2.

    Thoughts?

Update: USPS tracking info in my email this morning, so it looks like they have their shipping act together.

Kinda surprised that there are no comments here?

That's a decent price especially if you don't like doin rifle brass prep work.

Never heard of them actually. What caliber did ya order?
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

Just finished loading all 1000 of them ( 2.5 hrs on my LnL ). Only had 1 that had a primer problem ( was seated only about 25%), and roughly 1 out of 50 with a slightly deformed mouth. I think that the deformed mouths are more a product of bulk brass in general rather than a reflection of this company specifically. They were deformed only a bit and all took the bullet without collapsing the side wall or deforming the jacket.

Overall, I am very pleased with this company and their product. I needed brass and primers anyway, so having the brass fully processed and primed made it really nice. Next time will require a bit more work on my end :~))

Question: how many times should I be able to reload this Lake City brass? How much should I expect it to 'grow' now that it has been fired once and sized/trimmed?

Lastly, out of curiosity, did I do ok on price considering the work already done & being primed?

i trim my 223 each time. but im gettin random brass from the range too.

as for price. meh. powder costs about $100 per 1k (thats assuming your paying ~$28/lb buying at the store). so 1k rounds for $330 (plus your time). you can get reloaded ammo for cheaper than that.

but yours is probably more consistent and it was fun right?
ive whittled my price per round to $.16/round. so $160/k. but thats with free brass and buying in bulk.
thats my plinking ammo. precision ammo is a bit more than that.

but brass processing can be a pain.

I ran across their site while searching for bargain brass. I'm glad you had a positive transaction. I'm looking for cheaper components while I'm going through the learning stages of reloading. A lot of homework and I appreciate all the experience on CG.

FYI - Next time just buy NEW LC brass from Natchezz $119.00 for 1000 and buy primers locally.

I'm glad it worked out for you.

Does the new brass need to be ran through a sizing die? How tight is their quality control for case length if sizing isn't needed?

Do the primer pockets need any work on the new LC?

                        Thanks for the heads up.

I don't know if this answers your question, but even after I do all my case prep (sizing, primer pocket, trim, then tumble for the 2nd time) I set my sizing die to do a neck size just to make sure all is well.

Typically you do not have to resize unless the case mouths are dented. No need to swage or trim. All you need to do is prime, charge, and seat the bullet.

                            if you want 2000 rounds = $219.95
