Identify this powder type - take 2

Picked up a revolver and included were a number of reloads and factory ammo.

The tag on the reloads stated:

    200 gr bullet
    13gr Unique powder

Since I won't trust reloads I didn't reload, I decided to take one apart to validate what was stated. Found the following:

    bullet was actually 240 gr
powder weight was actually 22.4 gr
powder doesn't look anything like Unique (see pic)

None of the handgun powders I use look like this or would call for that amount on a 240 gr bullet.

Anyone have an idea of what powder this is at 22.4 gr for a 240 gr bullet in 44 mag?

The obligatory first post: if you dont know what they are, dont shoot them.

But, for the sake of discussion, judging by the 240 gr bullet, I would guess 44 magnum? It looks like a small ball powder like H110 or 296. According to Hodgdon website, the max charge of H110 and 296 for 44 mag is 24.0 gr. So if I were a gamblin man, thats where my money would be.

Yes, per my last line, 44 mag. Won't shoot what I can't verify, goes without saying. Worst case, I have a few hundred LP primers, 44 mag brass and hollow point bullets.

Powder is not H110. Checked that as well. It's a much finer powder than this unknown one.

H110 or 296. Alliant power pro 300 mp fits the charge weight range but I personally have never seen any...
I have to agree with the above, if you don't know what it is, don't shoot it on the outside chance that its a mix up. 22.4gr of power pistol or something in that burn range would be messy...

Powder looks like vihtavouri, at least all and any that I've seen.
Looking up .44 mag loads looks like possible n110
The load suggested by them starts at 20.4gr up to 22.1gr with a 240gr jfp bullet.

It's a stick type powder. Maybe it was loaded for a carbine?

Obviously the tags got switched on the boxes or different ammo made it to the wrong box.
