    Top 4 Reloaders

New to Calgun, I'm in the process of purchasing a reloader and I'm sure this thread has been discussed already, in your opinion what would be your top 4 reloaders? I have them in this order:

    Dillon
    Hornaday
    RCBS
    LEE

How much are you going to shoot, What caliber are you going to load and are you into quality or having the coolest thing on the block?

Basically, are you fine with a ford ranger to go to work or do you want a tricked out Escalade?

And how much money are you willing to spend. We need a little more info. The order you put them in would be the way I would stack them also....

Most purchase decisions for reloaders are based on volume of rounds to be loaded.

I have both single stage and progressive presses for shotgun & metallic. Different purposes.

In general, the Dillon presses are progressive, expensive & worth every penny. If you shoot 500+ rounds a month they will pay for themselves quickly.
Anyone press will hear the fat lady sing.

This is a classic Ford/Chevy/Dodge question that quickly devolves into "brand wars". I happen to use a lot of Lee gear, others use RCBS, others Dillon, others Hornady, others Forster, others Redding, and so on. Then you get into the question of "which die set is better?", which sets off a whole 'nuther religious war of words.

Basically, they're all good and all make excellent ammo. It depends on what you want to do.

@jc32handler: Have you reloaded anything before? If so, what, and in what general quantity? If not, have you picked up a couple of good reloading manuals and read them yet? The more info you can read up on before actually commencing with reloading, the better.

@sandiegocaguy: Far as I'm aware, there are basically three major companies for shotgun shell presses. If you hadn't listed .410 shotshells, I'd say the Lee Load-All. However, they don't have a .410 adaptor; it's 12ga, 16ga, and 20ga only. For the .410, the two major players that I see are MEC and RCBS, and neither of them are cheap. You're looking at roughly $160 to $170 for a single-stage MEC 600jr in .410.
