    Annealing results

I have been annealing my 308 Lapua Palma brass after every firing. Rounds are loaded with 45 gr. of Reloader 15 or Varget, using CCI 450 small rifle magnum primer, and a 175 SMK. These rounds are loaded for TRG-22 used to shoot 600 and 800 yards.

I have had no case problems. Bullets seat very consistently and easily.

The brass in photo below has been fired seven times so far.

I use a Bench Source machine.

    Nice!
    Fancy looking machine!

Bench Source builds precision case neck annealers, plates, and accessories. Hand-assembled in the USA for over 20 years. Best warranty in the industry.

In Action, Looks so simple, even a Caveman could do it!

    So I have to ask...How much $$?

I just got the annealing kit from Midway, but have not had a chance to try it.

Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

I have a Giraud trimmer (pencil sharpener style) which I love because I can trim hundreds of cases in an hour. with boys and I shooting rifle matches I did a lot of trimming

As to the case annealer it looks like a good Idea but I don't split enough brass to pay for it @ around $500.

Now if I move up to all Norma Brass things might change.

The Palma Lapua brass is $70 per 100 on sale so I want it to last a very long time, I'm hopefull annealling will help with that.

The annealling does make bullet neck tension very consitent.
