    Looking for a few recipes

I'm looking for a few proven loads for .40 & .45acp. I have a few handguns chambered in .40 with one being an older Glock 22 so I'm a little apprehensive about loading too hot and risking a KB with that, I also have a Keltec Sub 2000 so basically I need something that'll work for all those if possible. For the .45 it'll be for a few 1911s and a Thompson M1 1927 A1 (repro). I'd like to use the same powder if possible to keep things simple. Thanks in advance guys.
A gun, like any other source of power, is a force for either good or evil, being neither in itself, but dependent upon those who possess it.

For my 40 I like Power Pistol, that can work in 45 also but WST, U Clays, Bullseye are much better. Those are just a few of my favorite powders off the top of my head for both. Bullet weight will dictate how much of each.

My bad, the Clays I meant was Hogdens Clays and not Universal Clays. I have also used HP-38/231 for both 45 and 40 but find each one prefers it's own powder.

My 5" RIA 1911 REALLY likes a 200gr Bear Creek RNHB on top of 4.8gr of Green Dot. Not sure if it would cycle your Chicago typewriter tho...

A load doesn't get much more proven than 5gr of Bullseye under a 230gr FMJ. It's the original .mil load.
