    Love my New LNL

Spent the last couple nights setting my new LNL and pumping out rounds. After Clownpuncher's horror story i figured id post my experience.

To make a long story short, pretty much everything went flawlessly. The press is solid and smooth, and came 90% ready to go as it came. I spent more time cleaning it than anything.

Powder drop is acurate, the action is smooth, changeovers are easy enough once you get the hang of it, and i really couldnt be happier with my purchase. It doesnt seem to like Tula primers, you have to push down really hard to seat them and it screws up your rhythm.

Havent had any real hiccups other than the thousands of useless Tula primers i have now. I Finally feel like part of the 21st century, and my time spent reloading is alot more enjoyable now

All told i got the press for $369, plus $150 worth of bullets which i just sent out for today.

Heres what the new bench looks like, I moved the Lee single stage off to the side and plan on using it to develop loads.

The Turret press has been banished to the corner where it will likely sit unused unless i feel the need to drag that cabinet inside and deprime a bunch of stuff while watching TV. Probably not gonna happen since i have no reason to deprime separately. No big loss, i always hated that thing anyway

What's wrong with the turret? I was considering buying one as my first press.

Buy the Lee Classic Turret, his is not. Nothing wrong with the classic.

Nothing. The auto indexing is a bit finky is the only issue Ive had with mine, and it was a neglected, used, semi rusty one I bought from a widow of a reloader, who was selling all his gear because her new boyfriend was scared of guns.

I feel the whole turret design less than useful, On a single stage i do each process in batches, ie. Deprime 100 times, flare and charge 100 times, then seat 100 times VS. deprime, flare, seat x100.

This method is easier to get into rythem, harder to make a mistake, and it allows you to check 100 cases at a time before moving onto the next stage instead of checking each step as you go.

The press has a little bit of play, the primers drop into the part where its mounted instead of down a hole and into a bucket, the whole thing is bulkier and less smooth than the single stage. Since ive disabled the autoindexing its basically a bulky single stage, which i feel the lee anniversary press does a better job.

XDrox mentioned the classic turret, i hear alot of good things about that and if your into the turret thing the classic turret is probably the way to go.

I got the turret expecting it to be faster than the single stage, and when it wasnt i couldnt find a use for it really.
