    6.8 SPC re-sizing?

I have been reloading ammo for a .223 bolt action for a bit now, and since I have my upper in 6.8 SPC from Bison Armory on the way, I'd like to prepare to reload for that.

For now, I am only neck resizing my .223 brass, and not trimming it... I realize it may be a little long after firing a few times, but I've only reloaded the same brass once so far, so I'm not to that point yet.

Today someone told me if I am resizing for a semi-auto (in this case 6.8SPC) that I will need to full-length size my brass. Why the difference? Why is it not a concern for bolt, but will be for semi?

I have a trimmer, so I think I'm set... does this just mean I need to check my OAL every time I load once fired brass? Chances are, I'll be buying components, and not loading once fired stuff anyways.

Thanks in advance, for your always helpful and sage advice

I'm new to this reloading hobby/addiction. Primarily for the 6.8 AR I have. From what I understand, the full length sizing and OAL is for feeding the semi-auto. I haven't bought any new brass so I don't know if you should have to resize it. I wouldn't think so.
If you haven't already, check on 68forums.com they are very helpful also.
