I am interested in using Xtreme plated bullets in 9 mm for my Glock 17, but I can't find a solid answer on whether or not they'd be all right for the polygonal barrel. I've just received some samples from Xtreme in a variety of weights (115, 124, and 147) and shapes (RN and Flat) so I can try them out. There are maybe 20 of each type in my sample pack so I'll probably cook up three different charges of each so I can see how they do.
My goal is to find a bullet/charge combination that...
I have Winchester primers and W231 powder to use. My press is a Dillion XL 650.
Does anyone have experience with flat-nose bullets in a Glock 17? Is it better to use the heavier bullets with lower velocity to achieve the proper power factor, or the other way around?
Thank you for any advice and I apologize if this is one of those topics that has been discussed to death. I really did try to search before posting.
