    anyone use reloaders reference software?

just found this http://sourceforge.net/projects/reloadersrfrnce/ free opensource reloader's data.

it's free and has alot of info. i didn't see a minimum and maximum load on it, but i haven't played with it that much either... i find it's easier to "print" a cartridge and look at the data for the powder and bullet i'm using then it is to search for in in the other menus...

I use it but not for standard loads they have listed in there.

I use it mostly for tracking supplies and my own loads.

I also use Point Blank as well for tracking loads.

do you find the printed manuals to have different data than what this has? i'm trying to find my 12 year old speer manual and waiting for the new hornady manual in the mail to verify against.

I tried it, but I like my manuals.

very cool. Im a techy nerd so Id rather have it on the computer. Right now I use excel to track some of my personal loads and data i have collected on it, along with just general notation on performance. That seems like a better way to organize it.

I'd suggest the time tested method. Every gun is different. Work up a safe and accurate load for that gun. If you just want plinkers. Generalized data is fine. This is what large ammo producers use. It is usually in the safe range. Not weak enough to cause a SQUIBB and not so strong as to blow the breech. But tight groups may not happen...

Haven't compared it with my manuals but all my current loads are work ups for specific guns.

Hence the reason I like Point Blank so much.

I downloaded it, and I seem to like it. I went and edited out all the calibers I dont (and probably never will) reload for, that took about 2 /12 hours going line by line but now its good. Am I ignant, I just cant seem to find the updates with the targets and reloading manuals on sourceforge.
