Why do you need to identify them? Who wants to hand sort 20,000 pieces. As long as they are all boxer primed they should be GTG.

      To identify, go to:

IF they are boxer primed, reload them!

I recently picked up 5 gal of mixed 223/556 brass. I'm only going to separate the LC brass(556) from the 223 and load away.

          I sort as follows -

223 REM into one bin for 55 gr plinking loads with 24 grains of TAC

LC into another bin for further sorting by weight (after trimming/primer pocket reaming)
This is used for precision 69 and 77 grain loads

All other 5.56 into another bin for 62 gr plinking loads with 25 grains of TAC

I might have to sort my TZZ by weight since I recently picked up about 1000 of them.

Not sure of the rest, but RP is definitely Remington.

I would ALWAYS sort rifle brass if you want consistent accuracy. Inside capacity from a 223 to a 5.56 case is very different. Pistol brass not so much.
