    Zombie Max

    what is this stuff?
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

it's a pretty neato box stuffed full of otherwise pedestrian hornady polymer tipped bullets of unknown construction. Bet that the v-max is probably right given that zombies are traditionally dealt with in popular culture by zipping their brain cases off and the v-max's ability to splode' fluid filled containers of small size.

Anyone wanna place bets as to whether these are V-max rejects or similar?

rejects, certainly not. The polymer tip is a different color which would suggest that they're on the same production line with different base component sets. Anything that's a reject before the polymer tip gets stuffed on is probably so far out of spec as to be round-filed anyway.

BTW, I got fantastic grouping with it in .223.

1.5" penetration before explosive expansion. TONS of fragments throughout the wound cavity.

I saw this stuff on the back of the Natchez catalog (see attached), read the disclaimer and laughed.

Talk about a waste of effort. Bad Hornaday, bad

The Zombie 7.62x39 is steel cased and Berdan primed. Expensive non-reloadable ammo.
