    7.5X55 Swiss Brass

I'm having problems with my new Lee Reloading Press, I broke off the pin on the priming die and this SUCKS this was my first attempt at reloading, you know the feeling is it me or the equipment. I have the Lee 7.5X55 collect dies I bought off Ebay and a single stage press I'm New at this... Here are the numbers on the Swiss Brass Anzahi 480, 591-1100 Gewehrpatrone, 28.5.82 a 10dv... I'm in San Leandro the Bay Area...

Is the brass Berdan primed? You can't push berdan primers out with a regular die.

throw them out and buy some Privi bullets and keep the brass after you shoot them. You can also buy wolf 7.5x55 they are also brass and reloadable.

Read this thread, I made a tool to decap Berdan primed Swiss brass....and then there's finding the primers.....

Look in the brass with flashlight, if there's one hole in the middle, it's Boxer primed, if there's 2 small holes, it's Berdan primed.

If you don't want to mess with it, I'll take the brass off you hands.

Graff & Sons has brass that can be reloaded(boxer primed), bullets(just .308dia) and even loaded ammo that can be reloaded using boxer(common style for US shooters to load) primers.

IF you had where you live it would be helpfull so someone might help you or give you some brass.

Dont bother trying to reload berdan primed stuff, you will need different primers and for your first time stick with something normal. You need new brass

You have received every piece of good advice already.

                Grafs is your friend.

308 bullets work so buy the most economically sensible for your uses.

                I hate to say cheapest.

Save your crap brass, there are always some folks with too much time on their hands who can eventually make use of it.

Location? Maybe someone close to you is willing to help you. I'm up for it if you're close enough to me and, I'll even give you 20 or so pieces of brass to get you started. Also, collet dies are OK for some things but, you will need to FL size your brass every so often or when loading for different guns (even if they have consecutive serial numbers).

You can convert berdan cases to accept boxer primers. The only question is do you have the time to do it. I've load them light and use 110gr frangible bullets.

Google search "berdan to boxer convertion" and you will see a few methods being used. On my converted brass I stay away from heavy load and like I mentioned, I only use 110gr frangible bullets.
