    Small Arms Ammunition storage

    Hi all,

I'm looking for some information in regards to CA and federal laws that dictate the amount of small arms ammunition a person can store at thier home. Specifically at what point does a person need to register the storage as an ammunition magazine. I'd appreciate some help with links to relevant laws or regulations both at the state and federal level.
I've found some information which deals with primers and black powder storage but i'm really looking for factory ammunition requirements.

I've searched through the internet and this site a little bit but thought i'd throw the question out to the masses. I will continue digging around trying to find my own answer but if someone has already done the footwork i would greatly appreciate the help.

You won't find it written as they don't tell us what it's OK to do, only what not to do.

But to answer your question, you can have as much loaded ammunition as you want.
