You probably had the collet too tight. The Lee decapping die is designed to allow the pin to push up if there is any kind of obstruction.

Has it always been designed that way? Even so, if these lasted 20 years and they gave you new ones that is pretty good.

Lee has wonderful customer service - they are made in America - and they are cheaper than the stuff that is at least partly made in China. It's all I buy now.

My only grip is that crappy priming system on the progressives - but I think priming is best done as a separate operation anyway. Other than that, my Loadmaster works great and cost hundreds less than one painted green

They do have good customer service. I found one of my priming arms had a bent primer seater so I went to their web site and used the contact us section. I sent them a note asking where I could get a new primer arm because I have never seen them for sale. I was willing to pay for it because I think I'm the one that bent it. They sent me a note the next day saying a new one was in the mail and I got it 2 days later.

Now, a week ago I did the same thing with Hornady. Asking them a question on their "contact me" section of the web site. They still haven't gotten back to me.

Now, not to bash Hornady, but the Lee response was much much better considering I have yet to hear from Hornady.

Yeah I broke the chain for my lee pro 1000 when I was messing around with it and called them for a replacement and got one in the mail in 3 days. I say not bad.

The carbide sizing ring in my 9mm sizing die came off along with the brass and have used the sizing die many times over. Placed a call to LEE and I'd say 3 days later they send me a new sizing die. No questions asked also.

I do love my lee stuff. Always works and I have had great luck with their cs.

Just wish they're progressives we're a little nicer. Not that they are junk just wish they would be more on par with say the hornady.
