    Independance ammo

Anyone have any thoughts or experiences with this brand of ammo?

Specifically looking for opinions on their 45 ammo.

    Thanks!

I used it once, no jams. cost i s like 14-15 /50 box now.
started using Blazer Brass , much cheaper for .45i I did have coupl e of jams with blazer and I own a HK usp 45 which takes any round. But honestly, blazer has worked just fine I would say.

Some calibers, (I don't know if all of them), are made in South America, maybe Brazil? Looks clean, shoots fine. Good target/practice ammo. Slightly cheaper than the US made stuff.

*I*, CCI and Speer are all made by the same parent company. Great stuff in my book.

Actually, they're owned by Alliant Techsystems. ATK owns a number of firearms industry companies.

Fwiw, the most recent batch of Indy 9mm I checked out is made in the USA.

Their brass is supposed to be great for reloading too.

Tried them - I like 'em. They're a little hotter than WWB in .45 and has a bit of a muzzle flash like Remington. No failures in my 1911. The cases are intact too after they're spent so it looks like it could serve reloaders well for a very long time.

Are they kinda clean burning? The few cases I just processed polish up real nice and had minimal residue inside the case. Short tumble and they almost had the innards cleaned. No other brands processed were that clean inside.

Hey Justin, I've polished about 5 different brand cases that I picked up from the gun range I go to (Winchester, Magtech, Federal, Remington, and Independence). All of them polished up nice and shiny with no residue inside after about 3 - 4 hours in the tumbler.
