Back from the range, 45acp reloads with SPP.

Reloaded 15 rds. 4.4gr. and 4.8gr. of WST CCI. SPP. behind a 230 RN Berrys.

I used them both in a Glock 30 and 1911, both guns cycled find, slide opened on last rd. ejections were normal and no jams. The recoil on the 4.8 gr. even seemed a little bit snappier than the same load with a LPP.

I did'nt check for accuracy but if I can get some decent groups next time out I'm going over to the dark side. I do have a feeling these things are here to stay. I sure am picking up a lot more SPP. brass than there big brothers.

I took some Plated 200gr ammo loaded with 4.9gr of titegroup AOL 1.22 and they performed very well. It is nice that if you reload SPP you will get 90% federal head stamp.

I thought the ratio of spp to lpp was dependent on you wether the range you pick up at requires non toxic ammo or not.

If you want to get rid of your lpp brass send it my way...

My point was that only a few headstamps are SPP so if you collect 500 SPP 45acp brass over time, you will have most of it 1 head stamp. I have about 300 SPP brass and over 90% is probably federal.
