    6mm Remington pet loads

I have a 1970's era Remington 700 BDL in 6mm Remington with 20" barrel & 1 in 9" twist. Just recieved a box of 100 gr. Nosler partions #35642. I've prepped and primed 50 cases with WLR primers. I have powder choices of; IMR 4064, Varget and RL-19. My magazine is short so I can't go much above 2.825" COAL. I have some older Nosler data that states: The most accurate powder as RL-19 @ 42.0 grains 2856fps and load density of 83%, and max load of 46.0 gr. RL-19 @ 3159 fps with a 91% load density (these loads were tested in a Shilen 24" barrel with 1 in 10" twist).

I'm trying to get the best 100 - 300 yard game load, so any suggestions / experience with is combo are welcome. Thanks.

That is a great bullet for this cartridge and big game. I use RL22 in my Ruger M77 but the max load of RL19 will work well.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I recently traded away my 6mm Ackley, so here's some web pages I had for that. Again...this is for an Ackley but you can work up/around the load data that they have:

Mike J's 6mm Ackley Reloading Page
      6mmBR.com - 6mm Ackley Varminter
      6mmBR.com - 6mm Ackley Improved Varminter - Long Range

      Hope that helps.
