took me 3 hours for more than 1000 bullets. didn't count it exactly... cost is around $30. planning to do this as a business. it's quite fun and addicting.

Depends on the equipment used and a few other variables including ambient air temperature.

I usually do large runs so, I'm not doing it all in one setting but, I figure that I can cast, size and lube about 750 bullets per hour using my high capacity (8-10cav H&G molds) and star lubesizer or as few as 100 per hour using a single cavity HP or HB mold and my old Lyman 45 lubesizer.

After equipment costs, the only costs are electricity, lead and lube. If you can scrounge lead for free, it costs about $5 per 2000 rounds for lube and electricity.

Hey, Inkman, why don't your bullets look brown like mine? I see we're using the same lube as well.

Those were lubed with something else. Got a little bit of leading after 600 or so rds, but then simply shot some harder cast bullets thru the barrel and the little leading i had was completely gone.

I cast up about 1500 saturday nite and am trying a couple different things this time. One of those things is LLA thinned down a bit with mineral spirits. Gonna give the 45/45/10 a try too, just starting out simple first before trying to make things more complicated than they need to be.

Wish i had started doing this years ago......
