I don't have time to deburr flash holes, nor would it matter as I am mostly shooting steel plates and cardboard in action type matches.

I don't see what you're "disagreeing" about. What you're saying is true. What Doug says is true. I see no conflict.

I've been using one of Doug's machines for many years now. I like it because it's easy to use, easy on the ears and fingers, minimal clean up effort, and most of all - because it's FAST. I don't know that I'm good enough to tell any accuracy difference from when I was literally cranking them out on a RCBS trimmer.

The cost thing is a personal issue. I personally think it's worth the money. YMMV.

Cost is not really a concern for me.
I appreciate quality tools and I buy them as needed.

223 is my only really HIGH volume cartridge and I already have a 650 and dillon trimmer dedicated to sizing and trimming so I just don't need another way to trim brass.
My 650 easily lubes, decaps, sizes and trims 1000 cases an hour as long as I keep lube in the lube die.
