    Round Identification Help - Please!

Can anyone tell me what caliber each of these three rounds are? My brother got them from a friend's dad, but he did not note which each was and he just wants to know what each is for his own knowledge.

The two on the right are hollow point and the one on the left is perhaps a .338 for reference?

    Thanks in advance!

Impossible to tell without measurements. Break out your calipers

far right one should be a barnes copper bullet. but you will need to measure them to tell you what caliper they are.

Need to measure it. The center looks like a Sierra Match King.

          Or a speer boat tail.

The calipers will tell the tale.

Thanks guys, I knew the obvious way to tell would be with calipers, however I do not have any and thought perhaps someone here might by chance know. It's really no big deal, more curiosity than anything.

Next time you are at the rifle range, dig through the brass bin. Grab all the sizes you can find.

When the round slips in one case but not the next one up, you know what you've got.

This might only get you into the ballpark, but should work reasonably well. I can tell you a .284 bullet will not fit into the next of a fired .277 round easily, but I'm not sure that will hold true for every round/rifle. Nor will it help you if you only have a .338 and a 30 cal case from the range, but the bullet is a .323, etc.

But it'll get you one step closer with no calipers.

Or you could make a friend with calipers. You know. Whatever.
