It seems like this has turned into a price comparison thread which is cool. I am all about people getting the best deal, so I am gonna not really worry about the group buy and we can all just post the best price we find which will help everyone.

Umm that price for .45 isn't cheaper than I already buy them for by the box at my local. -
Can you post the store so I can buy plated bullets from your store. I am serious to, I am looking for the best price and would love to get the best price possible.
Thanks in advance for sharing a good deal.

Before we all start blowing up X-treme's phone and try to order 1000cnt of 45ACP 230gr rn , that price is for 500cnt and not 1000 cnt correct? That is a good price and I have been tempted to take the trip for the bulk buy, but after gas and Nevada tax, it is not really any cheaper than paying the freight on a bulk buy. I been buying X-treme bullets at Discount shooter supply, but even their 230gr Plated is $66.00 after tax as of last month.Last edited by stand125; 10-02-2011, 9:29 AM.CALGUNS DICTIONARY "FLIER": when a shooter wants to turn a 1 inch group to a half inch group because he flinched.Comment

Strand and I go to the same place. Discount shooters supply they are $59.99 before tax, are your prices shipped or before shipping and is their sales tax.Comment

If you only want 1k, the prices at the gun show may be better.
The last cow palace show Miwall had plated bullets.
9mm 124gr $70/1k
40 S&W 180gr $80/1k
45ACP 230gr $55/500, IIRC.Comment

From another thread where I posted prices I was researching prior to a gun show I went to, I was looking at 40S&W but the price spread was pretty much the same no matter the caliber. Extreme web site was closed down when I was compiling my data but I see it is back up now. As for bang for the buck, if you are buying that many, might as well go precision delta. You get FMJ bullets for about the same price as plated. Unless you have your heart set on plated. The only drawback is you have to buy 2000 from PD, which wouldn't be a problem in this case.
For Plated, Extreme bullets were cheaper than berrys but their website is down so I don't know what happened to them.
Bullets:
165 gr plated Berry's: $100/1000 from powder valley plus shipping.
165 gr plated Berry's: $116/1000 from Berrys, shipping included.
For FMJ rounds:
165 gr FMJ (not plated): $111/1000 from Precision Delta, shipping included.
180 gr FMJ: $115/1000 from Precision Delta, shipping included.Comment
