    9x25 Dillon

Anyone load for this round? I resized the brass today and started to get the dies dialed in. This is a 115 FMJ and its a the correct OAL of 1.27 it just looks to me like it is WAY to deep. Anyone have any thoughts? Maybe its just me?

Dillon has dies for it. It's a dead caliber, but still fun for fireballs and a flat shooting gun.

I have the dies and loaded the round pictured. It just suprised me how deep it sits to get the correct OAL.

Try some hollow points or something designed for 357 sig. The 9mm fmj has a long narrow profile, it might still work. Whats the charge?

Run the FMJ/RN bullets out to 1.280-1.285, which is about as long as a G20 mag will take. It will probably still not look right, but that's what the consensus is for OAL with that bullet profile. I'm loading nothing but XTP's in 9x25 Dillon, but any JHP will work better than FMJ/RN's in 9x25. I currently load 90gr, 115gr & 124gr XTP's @ 1.260.

The 9x25 was originally loaded with a TC (Truncated Cone) type bullet.

Ya I am going to go with JHP next, just had a bag of 100 FMJ already laying around and figured I would give them a shot. Ill probably load ten just to see how they work out and do the rest with the JHPs maybe some XTPs on the next load to see how they work out.

I wouldn't Be loading XTP's anymore, if I didn't have a custom seater plug. I couldn't get them to seat straight consistently. The XTP's ogive is at such an extreme angle, that only the EXTREMELY narrow tip makes contact with Dillon's seater plug. I'd suggest Sierra, Nosler or Zero JHP's, as their profiles fit the die better. I tried both the TC & RN sides of the Dillon seater plug, and still had issues seating XTP's straight. I had a custom plug machined for me, so now I have a seater plug that is identical to the Dillon one, but it fits the XTP like a glove.

Let us know how those loads shoot for you, and please chrono them if you can. Good luck man.

Finally got everything all set up and all the parts and pieces. Right now loading 115 JHP Sierras but have 124 JHP coming in the mail to try out as well. My last question is this.
I loaded up some unprimed rounds to check for feeding issues and head space everything looks good.
Except the chamber of the Lone Wolf barrel seems to be just a bit big in diameter not much just a bit the round can wobble around. Any one have one they want to measure for me and tell me how big their chamber is?

I am assuming that its just because the brass has been sized down and has not been fire formed yet but figured I would ask.
