When I first started using the H-Universal Clays I was down-loading at minimums to save powder. What bothered me was that there was unburnt powder and I wondered at it.
Well my latest batch of .38 special was loaded with 4.6 grains and bingo, no left-over powder flakes. I had read that Universal Clays was sensitive to low loads and it seems to be true. Burned clean in this load set. Also, no noticeable recoil increase over the lighter loads I was using.
This is nice, I liked the H-Universal because it was usable in more loads and cases so it made a nice "average" powder rather than having to stock multiple premium powders for each cal.
