    What to do with this?

I came across a bunch of 80 grain bullets marked .224 Clark and I am wondering what the heck to do with them. I checked them all (178) and they are all identical, I mean nearly perfect. 80 grains +/- .01 and measure .224 diameter. I don't own a .224 Clark rifle, but the bullets I load my .223 are .224 right? Can I use these to load .223 match rounds?

sure, if your 223 has a fast enough twist. I expect the charts will tell you that you need at least 1 in 9 --

      Here's the .224 Clark: http://www.loaddata.com/members/sear...loading%20Data

I would guess the bullets might be Sierra MK, but there are other .224 match bullets that are 80 gr. as well. Perhaps a picture would help? There is a big difference between VLD and standard bullets in how they are loaded (and how well they shoot).

I think I'd want at least a 1/8 for anything over 75 grains, but it really depends on the individual barrel. Some 1/9's can handle the heavy bullets, some cannot.

I will be shooting them through a WOA 20" 1-7 barrel, that wasn't an issue, I was wondering about the diameter. I mic'd my 5.56 bullets and they all came in at .2235-.2238, these are all at .224. Am I still OK to shoot them?
