Has anyone tried steel cased ammo as scrap metal?

Just wondering if recycling centers would take steel cased ammo as scrap metal for money?

I'm sure they would. You can always through it in a bucket and save it to reload in a SHTF scenario.

i tell ya i had a skeet box full of 223 wolf and the place only wanted to give me 85 cents 8 cents a pound

Yes it is. every desert trip kid picks up about a bucketful some brass(less than a couple pounds) mostly steel so I recycle it for him he makes about $13ish... decent amount to him, he gets paid to go shoot. lol
