CCI #41 or BR4??

I have a SCAR 16S and have been reloading with CCI #41 because of its extra protection against slamfire for semiauto with floating firing pin. If I go with the BR4, how much more risk am I taking? I know it's going to be hard to find quantitative assessment but would like to know if there are enough people firing semiauto/AR with BR4 primers.

No experience with BR4's but I've shot thousands of regular small rifle primers without a single issue. Everything from wolf, remington, cci, winchester.

There are tens of thousands of ARs out there that only ever eat commercial ammo with standard primers, but I just don't hear that many stories about slamfires. Do they happen? Sure. But mil-spec primers are probably more necessary for FA rifles.

That said, I personally use CCI 41 and 34 primers, respectively, for my AR and AK reloads.

I personal use CCI#41 for the same reason like you, it has the extra protection against any slam fire. I"ve never used BR4 but, i doubt it'll be any different then #41.
