    CCI Blazer

    Hello Calgunners,

Saw this at the outdoor marksman, want to know if this is a good deal or not. Does anyone have a place that has better pricing on ammo? and yes this is plinking ammo...

Before you pay for shipping to your area I would look at what you can find at Wal-mart. Paying tax may be less than the cost of shipping, and yes that is good ammo for plinking.

I believe Walmart only sells the Blazer Brass.

But I have used the Blazer Aluminum stuff, had not problems with it whatsoever. $125 + $30 for shipping for 1000 rounds is a kick *** deal.

I can pick it up for $6 a box with a coupon locally. It is good stuff though.

OM's shipping costs are pretty reasonable if you buy a lot at once. I usually stock up when I order from them, and the shipping doesn't add much when spread out around a few cases of ammo. Not so good if you're just buying a few hundred rounds, though.

Blazer Brass is just under $7.00 a box at Walmart. Some Walmarts have the Remington UMC 250rd boxes for $45 for 9mm and $65 for .45ACP.

Is there a certain amount of times the brass in reloads are reloaded? Let me clarify, these "factory reloads" are they guarunteed to be once fired brass? I bought some reloads back in the day (9mm) from the show in Del Mar and I had 2-3 rounds blow out the side within the first 100 rounds. Didnt think that was too safe so I didnt shoot anymore of it. Besides the new stuff is like 2 bucks more so I will go with that.

I had the exact same problem with some 9mm reloads I bought from Miwall at the Del Mar show. Case head blow outs. Ended up tossing it all.

Last year I bought 3 cases (3000) of Blazer aluminum 9mm ammo. At the time it was selling for $5.49/50. Shipped here (Bay area) it was like $130 or $140 a case. I know that it might be cheaper to shop around, but with the cost of gas these days, all that driving around kind of makes it a moot point. Get a case or two and save on the price of driving. They ship it to your door and you need not worry about them being "out" like some of the other places you might go looking.

                        Factory reloads are usually blems.

I have gone through thousands of miwall reloads from the del mar show never to have a problem. I now reload my own and even use my own brass multiple times. If I see a crack or something I don't like, I toss it.
