Different COAL for 185 and 200gr?

I'm going to load a bunch of 200Gr Montana Gold TMJ with 3.6 to 3.8 gr of Bullseye at 1.165 COAL.

I also have some Hornady 185 Gr. FMJ SWC that I plan to load to same powder level. Should I adjust the COAL?

is that a pretty light load? i dont know what reloading data you're using, but you should double check your numbers.

if you're already working with a light load, using a lighter bullet at the same OAL might cause feed problems.

Different weight bullets, different bullet shapes will require different OAL.
Does seem like a light load. What caliber/gun are you loading for?
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

My G30 and 1911 wouldn't cycle reliably with less the 4.0 gr of Bullseye.

I don't know about the G30, but I know that it will in any 1911 pattern .45 auto.
It will if you adjust the recoil spring to your load.
I'm currently shooting a Les Baer PII in .45 auto using 3.6 grains of Alliant Bulls/Eye behind a 180 grain LSWC (H&G#130 mold pattern)
I'm using a Wolff Variable Rate 16.5 # recoil spring. This same load data and recoil spring will work with a 200 grain LSWC (H&G#68 mold pattern).

Last month I shot my Springfield Armory Trophy Match down to 3.2 grains of Alliant B/E using the same 185 grain LSWC and a Wilson Combat non-variable rate 15# recoil spring.

3.6 grains of B/E behind a 185 - 200 LSWC is a pretty common bullseye load generally good out to 50 yards, but especially good to the 25 yard line.

This load may or may not work well with a plated bullet

          FWIW, IMHO, & HTH
