Anyone have published 375 Ruger load data?

I have found limited data (Hodgdon and Nosler), but does anyone have any load data for the 225 Hornady SP? (sorry, still have V7 of the Hornady manual)...not sure if V8 has 375 Ruger data in it or not)

I will have to work up loads for the new 250gr Barnes TTSX. I think it is too new for any data to be out there.

The new Hornady 8th edition has data for the .375 Ruger.

Barnes #4 manual has data for the .375 Ruger, but not for the 250 TTSX. Their data is for the 235 gr. TSX and 270 gr. TSX

Thanks for the heads-up guys. I have seen the Barnes data, but they only list 2 powders, and I don't have any H380. When I asked Barnes for data for the 250, they suggested to look at Hodgdon's site for what they list for a 250 grainer.

I wanted some light loads to break in the barrel with the 225gr SP's. I don't have the 8th Edition yet....would you be willing to share a couple of starting loads with some of the more common powders? (seems to use 223/308 appropriate powders like RL15, Varget, 4895, etc.).

I've read online people have been having good success with the heavier bullets and RL17 (similar burn speed to 4350, but making 80~100fps more without any outward signs of pressure). I picked up a pound to play with with the 300gr, but not sure if it will work out for the 250's or the 225's. They may be too light.

Had to burn a vacation day yesterday, so took a trip out to the range with the Alaskan for her maiden voyage.

Never fired anything with this much energy before. The "break-in" 3,800fpe loads were not bad, but once you start getting into the 4000+fpe, it will definitely get your attention.

Got the RamShot BigGame up to 3,005fps with the 250gr Barnes TTSX before it started to show pressure signs.

With the RL17, I made it up to 2,945fps, but no pressure signs yet. Looks like I have little more headroom with it.

I need to take some time to learn to shoot these bigger calibers (OK, technically it's only a mid-bore, but it will still definitely let you know you're not shooting a 308). I started to get more comfortable by the end of the session.

The RL17 pressure loads varied from about 2,700~2950fps. At 100yds, the group was about 2" wide x 2-5/8" vertical. Six of the 11 shots landed in a MOA triangle, so I know this thing has potential once I dial in the load and learn to do my job properly.



3,000fps with a 250gr bullet (5,000fpe) out of a 20" barrel....not bad!
