    5.56/223 75, 77gr ?

Where do you like to buy 75, 77gr, 223/5.56 ammo? Brass cases preferred.

Shooting 16", 1:8 twist, SS, Wylde chamber.
New upper. Want see what she likes, so good selection is helpful too.

    Thanks

I reload my own of the same but for a 24" bbl. I only have tried 69 gr in my 16", I just thought that it wouldn't stabilize enough to shoot a 75 gr in a 16" bbl but then again I am still kinda new to reloading

A 69gr black hills bullet great with a wylde chamber. Did you get the upper from Palmetto State Armory? I have been looking at it for a while now.

Are you talking about loaded ammo or the bullets themselves?

            www.ammotogo.com has Black Hills. 69, 75, 77gr. Good prices.
About the best factory out there. My 18", 1/8, Wylde, JP loves the 77gr 5.56 Seconds MK262 ammo. I have gotten .770"-1.25" groups at 300yds with it. Get a box of each and see what you rifle likes the best. Then try to hand load to what works.
If you can't shoot good, at least look good shooting

Yep, Palmetto. My first DI upper. Only had it out once so far. Shoots every thing I had on hand, very will, 55, 62, 69 Privy.

Nice upper. The chrome lined BC and bolt felt very snug compared to my piston BCG when I first cleaned and lubed it out of the box.
It short stroked fist round, after that didn't miss a lick.
Also was not sure I would like hand guard, but it's a dandy and pretty light.

I don't have enough AR time/experience to really compare to others. Sure seems like a good one to me.

Loaded ammo is what I'm looking for now, but reload is in the plan also. So any good places to get bullets would be helpful too. Thanks

I load both 75-77 but my most accurate load is a 60gr Vmax I don't understand why Hornady does not make a V max round that is about 69 gr with GI mag COL? Someone needs to get fired over there they should have made that years about. The 75gr is great but can't loaded in an AR.

Gotcha. Not sure on the factory match ammo since that's usually way too pricey for me.
For bullets, Natchezss for 77gr SMKs for about $200/1K. Final cost loaded is around $285/1K. You'll have to find what your gun likes most. In my Noveske 1/7, 69gr is accurate but 77gr was way more accurate.

                      For ammo, I like 69gr. and 77gr. from Cor-Bon.

                      For components, Freedom Gunworks.

I was really looking at that upper even though I really want a 20 or 24" wylde chamber upper. Maybe Palmetto will make one soon.

Thanks for the input guys. Have a selection on the way from ammo to go, one of my usual go to guys.

The heavy stuff is a tad spendy. All the more reason to be pulling on the press handle.

jonser77, I think PM builds the upper after you order, maybe they would swap a barrel for you?
