I recently completed a AR-15 6.8mm build using a 20" upper from Bison Armory and have been working towards developing a solid load for reloading. After a few trials, I have had great accuracy with Sierra 115g matchking and 110g gameking bullets, using H322 and RL-10X powder. Curious to see what others are using to achieve sub MOA accuracy. I have not had great results with Nosler accubonds but perhaps I dont have the right mixture.

Dialing in some 6.8 loads

I'm using a 115gr sierra matchking over 28.3 gr of h322 in remington brass (which is pretty much the worst brass you can use but I have a lot of it) Seat the bullet to 2.295". 1/2 moa-3/4moa all day long out of an 18" ARP match barrel. You may want to start lower if you try this load because your barrel is a spc 2 chamber as opposed to ARP's 6.8 X43. The latter is proven to handle higher psi loads better. You might want to look into 110 gr Sierra Pro hunters also...very accurate with about 29 gr of h322. -
my 6.8 upper is on its way to complete my first 6.8 and first ar build.
where do you all order your brass/bullets from? i'd like to consolidate an order.
also, any idea if varget, reloader 15, or imr4895 would work? i happen to have those onhand from loading .223 for a bolt action.Comment

I just got into 6.8, too, and everything I've read says that powders that are good for .223 burn too slowly for 6.8. I've reloaded a few rounds with RL-10X and I just picked up some X-Terminator to try. I'm loading 100gr Hornady SP's, 115gr Nosler HPBT and Midway blemished 130gr Polymer tipped BT Spire points. I haven't tested for accuracy yet, but I was getting the expected velocities with the 130's and RL-10x.
Everything I've read says that Accurate 2200 is the powder for 6.8, but nobody locally has it available. I'm going to try some next time I order from PV.sigpic

I've used H 332 and Re10x. Haven't got sub MOA but close. I'm confident the rifle can do it. It's the nut behind the scope that is the limiting factor.
. I have put 3 or 4 out of 5 sub MOA but always manage to pull a shot and ruin it.
Hoping to try AA2200 soon.
Another vote for the 110sph bullet. It's cheap and accurate.Comment
