Could I.. And should I realod these?

I was told your not suposed to reload these due to them scratching your dies.

Thing is I got these in a bulk buy from once shot reload bulk of 1000 rounds.
So some one reloaded them.. should I be g2g or will they damage scratch my dies?

9mm stainless steel case? Not sure what material they are.

It looks like nickle plated brass. The nickle is harder than brass and seems harder to re size but I haven't noticed any issues after a couple K of 9mm. I have talked to a couple of people that prefer the brass because it is softer and not as brittle? They say normal brass can be reloaded a couple times more.

Personally, I use what I have.

ETA: I'm sure someone will chime in with a little more experience than I have.

Alright im just asking because I have like 10 of these in the whole batch of 1000. If it will scratch or ruin them ill just throw them out. Or maybe take 10 things of brass from the range and do a trade.

They look like white brass to me. What does the headstamp say?

Nickel plated silver would be my guess. Nickel is a lot softer than the steel your dies are made of.

BTW, I've never seen SS cases before. If you really have some and want to get rid of them, I'll take them for a conversation piece.

I have a bunch of nickle plated .45 that looks like those I did not notice an issue with them when I cleaned resized and loaded. Have not shot them yet but I doubt there will be any problems.

I know federal has some nickle plated HD rounds as do a few other companies and I have reloaded them without issue.

If the ones you have are headstamped wolf of something along those lines I would prob just chuck them.

No I just guessed they were SS due to the color. And they are stamped as federal hornady I think and one is Winchester. I've never shot inane seen.. But never shot or loaded this kind of brass before. Find it all over BLM wasn't sure if it was like steel case or not. From what I was told was brass or nothing or else your buying new dies.

But these were apparently reloaded so I was wondering if I'd be ok which I seem like I should be or if I needed a special die or then ruin dies but some people don't mind.

I'll take a picture of their head stamps when I get home tonight.

Those appear to be nickle plated brass cases. They will not hurt dies. Just make sure to tumble them clean in order to get all the dirt and crud off.

Nickel cases will not hurt your dies. I use nickel cases in my competition 40 S&W to make sorting quicker. I've reloaded them many, many times.

I just loaded 150 rounds of 9mm and 50 rounds of 45ACP in nickel cases. I was able to load all 9mm with the same head stamp ( R P+ P ) which was nice. I don't care if I have mixed head stamp, but midas well have it all match if it is convienient.

I have loaded a lot of the nickle plated stuff, here's the key, if they stick to a magnet then they are a no-go

2500 posts, and this is what you're asking?

No, you shouldn't be reloading anything.
